Kingdom Sunday is a memory now.
Next comes waiting and watching to see what God does with it. In Mk. 4, Christ describes Kingdom growth as planting a seed that one day bears fruit. The point of the parable is that we plant, God provides the growth. I believe the actions and gifts given will bear fruit and we may see it or we may not. One day we will know what God did with Kingdom Sunday. I think I'm gonna propose we do this once a year. What do you think about KS as a Kingdom builder?
There have been some amazing things reported so far. Several pastors who are having hard times called to say "Thanks". And several who are experiencing relative health called or emailed to appreciate our intention saying "Yay, God!" Some members have written to tell me about their Kingdom Sunday.I'd love to hear about your experience. Drop me an email at cbradford@riverbluff.org.
I think Christ calls us to unity in our diversity. I'm glad the Riverbluff family believes that as well.
I'm also grateful to the Body of Christ called Riverbluff, for the freedom to walk on the water every now and then. My appreciation and love for this congregation grew tremendously this weekend. I am a blessed pastor living with blessed people intent on being a blessing to the world.
Yay, God!
