As I look back over 63 years of life, I believe I’ve been more a consumer of grace than a dispenser. That is, I’ve consumed more grace than I’ve given. The outrageous and extreme grace of God shown in the Incarnation makes me face up to the fact that I’ve got a long way to go in giving others grace. A long way to go!
So, this Christmas season we're going to talk about “GRACE: GIVEN…GIVING…” As we explore the various Christmas stories together, I'm asking God to do a work in us to grasp grace. I think if we take a close look at the grace God has shown us in Jesus, we may get a little closer to seeing people the way God does. And hopefully, we who are Christ Followers will be more grace givers.
That’s my personal request for the second half of my life. 8-)
